Who We Are
The Vandalia Provider & Hospital Organization (VPHO) is a provider and hospital-sponsored organization that supports participating hospitals and physician practices by coordinating administrative functions and managed care contracting.

VPHO’s role is to simplify participation in payer networks, reduce administrative burden, and support efficient collaboration between independent healthcare providers and payers, while allowing providers to focus on and retain full control over clinical decision-making and patient care.

What We Do
VPHO provides centralized administrative and contracting support, including:

  • Delegated physician credentialing and enrollment;
  • Network administration and provider directory management;
  • Utilization management coordination, consistent with payer requirements;
  • Contract administration and payer communications; and
  • Liaison services between network participants and managed care organizations.

Our Role in the Healthcare System
VPHO brings together hospitals and physician groups to:

  • Coordinate managed care participation;
  • Support consistent and efficient administrative processes across the VPHO network;
  • Promote clear communication between providers and payers;
  • Does not negotiate or set prices on behalf of providers
  • This approach allows providers to make independent contracting decisions while benefiting from centralized administrative support.
